Why Choose Homeopathy?

10 ways homeopathy can transform your life

1. It treats just about any complaint

The list of illnesses homeopathy can help with is extensive. While it is great for short-term problems such as coughs, colds and accidents (minor to major!), it is also highly effective for recurrent problems such as ear infections and period pains. It can nip a headache in the bud, but also rid you of headaches or migraines you’ve lived with for years.

10 tips to ease your Hayfever

Spring at last… This weekend the clocks change, the birds are busy building their nests and we're already beginning to see some regular sunshine.

Yippee, say most of us! Except the hayfever sufferers. With trees budding, green shoots poking their heads up and pollen floating in the air, people are now getting the first hints of itchy eyes, runny noses and sniffles and sneezes. I'm getting at least one call a day from someone requesting help for their hayfever.

As well as using homeopathic tinctures to de-sensitise people to the pollens that trigger their hayfever and giving them tablets to match their specific symptoms (see special offer below), I also suggest these 10 easy self-help tips to ease their hayfever.

Calling All Hay Fever Sufferers…

In my nearly 10 years as a homeopath I've had my most satisfying results treating people for hay fever. I reckon I have an 80-90% success rate in easing symptoms (significantly easing them!), and sometimes I can get rid of them completely. People who've been walking balls of itching and irritation for years are often astounded that they can actually live a normal life. If I treat someone for more than one season, there is a possibility of eradicating their hay fever altogether.

But I would say that, wouldn't I?! You have every right to be doubtful…

Good clinical proof that homeopathy is more than just placebo is a bit thin on the ground and, yes, I know there's been a lot of adverse publicity that homeopathic remedies are nothing but sugar pills. So this year I've decided to put my money where my mouth is and prove it! I'm going to show that homeopathy is a highly effective way of treating people with hay fever by conducting a study at Boldre Homeopathic Practice.

Holiday Homeopathy

Heading off on holiday? I never travel without a kit of homeopathic first aid remedies - here's my list of those I'd never venture off without. You can buy them singly or we supply kits tailor made to your needs, including long-haul trips.

Sunburn
Belladonna
is our no. 1 for sunburn and sunstroke. It's excellent for any condition or injury that is bright red, hot, dry and angry-looking.

If someone complains more about a burning, smarting dryness, then cantharis may be better. Cantharis is good for burns and scalds - and a must for anyone prone
to holiday cystitis!

If your skin gets spotty and itchy in the sun, try urtica urens. This is made from nettle and so is good for any nettle-like hot, irritated rash.

Another essential is calendula tincture: a few drops in warm water or dabbing it neat onto the area is lovely and soothing for sore skin and any minor wound.

If your skin is sensitive to the sun or you're prone to heat rash, taking sol
can work wonders.

Homeopathy for Hay Fever

The natural way to beat those sniffles

If this time of year is a sore-eyed, sneezy, itchy drag for you, then you're by no means alone. One in four Britons suffers from hay fever, compared with one in eight in the early 1980s - and, in line with asthma and eczema, allergic hay fever is on the increase. Due to global warming and mild, early springs, not only has the hay fever season extended, pollen counts have also risen dramatically in the past four years. And ash clouds and pollution only add to the allergic mix.
