The culmination of Andy Coleman, a nationally recognised award winning mixologist and Darren Blunden, Chef to the royals, has resulted in this beautiful new venue.
Head Chef, Darren Blunden, has worked with and for some of the most decorated chefs in the land. His career has seen him in some of the most prestigious restaurant kitchens in London and the South of France. Most recently he has spent the majority of his time at Highgrove spoiling Prince Charles and his guests with his seasonal and local dishes taken from the royal grounds.
Darren mastered the delicate French touches that surround his otherwise robustly British dishes at the double Michelin starred Lei Mouscardins in St. Tropez before taking the senior sous chef position at The Belfry with Anton Mossiman. Having previously worked for Marco Pierre White at both the Belvedere and the Michelin starred Mirabelle, he returned to work as a consultant chef for Marco and television’s favourite cheeky chef, Jamie Oliver.
Having initially trained at Lansdown College, Darren has returned to Dorset to bring his fantastic experience and passion for food to Broadstone.Andy received his training through mentors Rob Poulter and Wayne Collins, two of the world’s leading mixologists. He subsequently managed numerous professional bars and restaurants within Oxford and London achieving credentials from mixology and flair competitions, most notably being a finalist in World Class Bartender of the year competition 2009. Andy is also an owner of Mai Tai Lounge Bar, the award winning bar in Ashley Cross.
