A Reside Care home is a comfortable, homely environment where residents can relax, feel at home, talk with friends and become involved in conversation and activities as much as they wish. Giving residents personal one-to-one attention and opportunities for mental and physical stimulation where they live helps them to maintain awareness and to stay alert in the last years of their lives.
All the meals are cooked freshly on site by a chef and her assistants, to suit each individual resident’s needs and preferences. A range of interesting and appropriate activities are arranged everyday for the residents, activities include cooking, gardening, playing games and “remembering the past”.
Staff are the single most important aspect of care home life, and they have been chosen carefully for their caring and professional attitudes and skills. All staff are police checked before they start at the home. A considerable amount of on-going training and development activities are provided and staff retention is very high at over 90% of staff being retained each year.
Residents are encouraged to bring their own personal items of furniture and wall coverings to make their room familiar and their own.
Family and visitors are welcomed at any time of day and night to drop in and/ or take their resident on an outing at any time.
