Neal's and Son in Tuckton is a specialist supplier of free-range meat and products. We supply both direct to the customer in our shop and via our hog-roast hire.
A family run business since 1999, here at Neal's and Son we handmake all of our sausages. With over 32 flavours ranging from wild boar, cider pork, Ringwood ale, sweet chilli and garlic pork to wholegrain mustard. We also make all our own beef burgers, lamb & mint burgers, venison and red wine burgers. You'll be spoilt for choice!
We can provide any cut that the customer desires, for any occasion, and are happy to offer advice so you make the right choice every time. If you are having a dinner party for example, and wanted something to impress your friends why not try our French trimmed rack of lamb - nice & tasty!
We also provide a free delivery service direct to your door! We cover the Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch areas.
The shop is open Mon-Sat 8.30-5.30.
Why Free Range?
Concern about the welfare of the animals we eat, and exactly what goes into the food we are eating, is in the forefront of the minds of more people now than ever before.
We try to get our meat as locally as possible to ensure continued quality, but we only get the best that money can buy.
Free Range Chicken and Duck
We use chickens from Creedy Carver in Devon. These chickens are free range and are fed on GM free additive free diets to allow slower growth, greater maturity and a better flavour. The birds are reared in small flocks to reduce stress and increase freedom. A simple diet, greater maturity and a natural environment produces a happier, better tasting chicken.
We also use Creedy Carver free range ducks. They are fed GM free diets and are very tasty ducks.
Beef
We use beef from both Hampshire and Scotland. We tend to use Scotch in the summer and Hampshire in the winter.
We also supply beef from HG Witt & Son, a small family farm Fordingbridge. These are run on a free range system, coming inside in the winter to protect them from the bad weather, and finished outside on the grass.Once slaughtered the meat is hung on the bone for 4 weeks to enhance the flavour and tenderness, which makes for very tasty beef .
Scotch Beef
Scotch beef is the best you can buy. We get our Beef from Scotland, from cattle that has been traditionally raised on lush Scottish pasture under strict guidelines governing animal health and welfare. The cattle mature early under natural conditions. The beef is fully traceable back to the farm of origin. It is then traditionally matured on the bone for 21 days to enhance flavour and tenderness. The meat should be 'marbled' with fine threads of fat interwoven through the lean meat; this helps keep the meat tender during cooking as well as bringing out the flavour.
Beef cuts available; Hough, Round Steak, Topside, Silverside, Frying Steak (Rump Steak) Fillet Steak, Sirloin Steak, Rib Roast rolled or on the bone, Shoulder Steak diced or sliced, Steak Mince, T Bone Steak, Ribeye steak, Whole beef fillet.
Lamb
The lamb we supply will be run on the same system as the beef. We source our lambs from Salisbury Meat Market.

Hog Roasts
Our free range Hog Roasts are a fantastic and economical catering option, and are tailored to your needs. Hassle-free and tasty, they are brilliant for all occasions, from birthdays to weddings.
We supply a spit roast machine and a half or whole free-range pig. We will come and set it up, get it started and you can carve the roast yourself, or have a chef to serve for you. It takes approx 5.5 hours to cook.
