Businesswomen from across the region and their guests danced the night away at the Sunflower Ball in aid of Lewis-Manning Hospice.
With the amazing Swing Unlimited Band providing the music at the RNLI College in Poole a great evening was completed with fine food, wine, charity auction, raffle and casino tables.
The event was hosted by Poole WIBN and Bournemouth WIBN which are part of the South & South West WIBN, run by Jacqui Frampton. Jacqui said: "Each group chooses a charity they'd like to support. We don't usually allow the same charity to be chosen for more than one group but both Poole and Bournemouth WIBN Groups really wanted to get behind Lewis-Manning and with everything the charity has going on at the moment with their re-build project and the Time to Care Appeal, I thought it would be the ideal time for us to get involved and an opportunity for both groups to make a very tangible difference to a great local cause."
Lewis-Manning Hospice's Time to Care Appeal is raising £2.5 million to build a new state of the art hospice that will include a 15-bedded in-patient unit for overnight respite, rehabilitation, and end of life care. The new facilities will also include a combined music room and gym for physiotherapy.
Lewis-Manning Fundraising Manager, Maria Tidy, said: "The WIBN have been so supportive to the hospice, and we're delighted to have them onboard."
One WIBN member said, "Lewis-Manning Hospice is doing great things in our community and we're proud to be able to support that. As well as having a great time, by coming to the Sunflower Ball guests are helping us to raise vital funds for the hospice and therefore become a part of the new build."
