Putting on His Dancing Shoes for Heart Charity’s Red Ball

71-year-old fundraiser trades his walking boots for dancing shoes for the British Heart Foundation (BHF)  

Having walked miles last month to raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) local pensioner, Brian Gregory, 71, is hanging up his walking boots and shining up his dancing shoes to support the charity's first ever Bournemouth Red Ball on 25th September.

Brian put his heart and soul into taking part in this year's Ridgeway Challenge and walked the full 17-mile route along the South Dorset Ridgeway in July raising over £300 in sponsorship for the BHF.

Bournemouth Town celebrates third birthday

The celebrations were small but perfectly formed with a handful of key clients invited to help support the magazine's dedicated charity, The British Heart Foundation.

Flight Attendants take off for the Heart Charity

Students on the Cabin Crew course at Bournemouth & Poole College put on their best smiles last month as they walked eight miles in the rain to help raise cash for the British Heart Foundation.

Leading the way was their teacher, Maria Ballam, from Wimborne. Maria has been doing the fundraising walk since 2007 in memory of her father, Nick, who died suddenly of a heart attack. She calls it the 'In the Nick of Time Walk'.

Talbot House School - Red For Heart

School plays part in Red for Heart

Pupils at Talbot House School in Bournemouth left their school uniforms at home and put on red clothes earlier this term as they showed their support for the British Heart Foundation's ( BHF) Red for Heart campaign.

BHF Fundraising Volunteer Manager, Zoe Nicholson and BHF Volunteer, Elyse Kaparos visited the school to highlight the importance of taking good care of your heart. Their visit was part of the school's week-long healthy living programme - which also included talks from police officers, fire officers and beach safety officers.
