A family company, Dave Wells Properties is run by Dave Wells and his son Steve and many of our staff have been here since the early days.25 years ago Dave bought his first rental property – a tiny cottage in Poole. Today DWP owns more than 500 properties throughout Dorset and Hampshire and houses over 2,400 tenants.

We employ 45 members of staff, including drivers, tradesmen and office workers.

DWP takes our social responsibilities seriously and are constantly renovating and improving our housing stock to make sure people of all incomes have somewhere pleasant to live or work. We’re also building new homes – with a further 200 under construction at the moment. We consider the needs of all types of tenant when constructing our new properties.

Many of those new-builds are family homes with gardens, a rare and much welcome option for affordable renting in Bournemouth.

Our lettings in Bournemouth also include specialist affordable accommodation for the over 55s, many of whom wish to make their pensions go further by renting rather than maintaining a house. Many of these offer facilities that may not have been required before, such as private parking and mobility buggy storage.

While the rents for new properties fall under the category ‘affordable’ many residents are self-supporting.

Dave Wells is a member of the National Landlords Association (NLA) and takes part in a rent deposit scheme run by the NLA and the Rent Service.

We are also members of the Borough of Poole Accreditation Scheme.

At the heart of our community: DWP was proud to sponsor Bournemouth's recent Hero of the Year Awards. We also support initiatives to improve community cohesion and are a supporter of the charity Waggy Tails Dog Rescue.
