Here at Bournemouthtown.co.uk, we were invited down to review the 45-minute, 2-course business lunch which runs Monday to Friday from Noon until 2pm in Echo's Restaurant. Echo's is very light and airy. The decor has a sophisticated yet Edwardian twist to it and it is the perfect place for a business lunch or to relax with friends.

Tiien Thai Restaurant

Tiien Restaurant, opened recently, has already attracted the attention of Thai food lovers, making it the place to go for an authentic Thai cuisine experience.

The beautiful entrance and friendly staff offer you a traditional, warm welcome to a wonderful experience, where you will find everything you need for a fantastic Thai meal, followed by a couple of drinks in the attractive lounge bar with an exclusive decor that takes your imagination on a journey into the heart of Thai culture.

Da Vinci's, Poole Quay

One wet and rainy night in January, we were invited to Da Vinci’s Italian Restaurant on Poole Quay to write a review for Bournemouthtown.

With the rain pouring down and the wind souring, stepping outside was not really at the top of my list. However we battled through the elements and we were extremely pleased that we made the effort!

Vinncenzo, co owner of Da Vinci's greeted us with a warmth that is usually kept for close friends and relatives. We instantly felt at home. The checked table cloths and traditional rustic surroundings add to the atmosphere and really make you feel like you are in a traditional Italian Restaurant!

The Beehive, Canford Cliffs

Wow - that was our first impression as we walked in to the new Beehive earlier today.

The Beehive Inn, Canford Village is one of the area’s best kept secrets. A beautifully restored bar, restaurant and hotel, offering a relaxed and comfortable dining area for both locals and guests. Style wise, I would say a good mix of contemporary and colonial with a dollop of home comforts. The Beehive has eight bedrooms. We managed to have a sneaky look at all eight rooms and they are absolutely stunning. With every room having it's own identity, the colour schemes and soft furnishings running throughout all eight rooms are outstanding and to a standard that you would usually associate with a 4 / 5 star hotel.

The Crab Hotel, Bournemouth

If you enjoy seafood and fish, The Crab Restaurant in Bournemouth is definitely worth a visit. Situated underneath the Park Central Hotel, directly opposite the Bournemouth International Centre, The Crab Restaurant offers a fine array of A La Carte Seafood dishes from the freshest Oysters and Scallop's through to their Hot Seafood Platter for 2 people which includes an amazing range of seafood and fish.

If you enjoy Indian food then here at Bournemouthtown.co.uk, we definitely recommend a visit to Meyla Restaurant is next to Waitrose in Christchurch and as they say themselves, Mela is Christchurch's newest Indian culinary adventure. We agree!

With award winning chefs, Mela offers a mixture of traditional Indian and Bangladesh food. The dishes are full of flavour and the menu is extensive however the friendly waiters are on hand to recommend dishes to suit your pallet.

Let's face it; it is hard to beat fine Italian food and wine. What we didn't realise is that we have a real gem right here in Bournemouth - it's a fabulous secret just waiting to be uncovered!

If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience for a special meal, then look no further than La Piccola Ristorante Pizzeria near Lansdowne, Bournemouth.

Pacific 23

If you are looking for somewhere different to eat out then Pacific 23 Thai / Oriental Restaurant at The Nelson, Mudeford, is definitely worth a visit.

The Nelson is a traditional village local with the front bar offering all of the features that a good local pub should with a range of real ale's, regular sky sports fixtures, quiz nights, comedy nights and live entertainment - not forgetting special events throughout the year. The bar has recently being refurbished and offers a relaxed, comfortable surrounding for a night out or a quiet drink. There is a traditional pub menu on offer with everything from toasted sandwiches and panini's through to salads, fish & chips and steaks from the grill.

Durley Dean Hotel - Restaurant No 28

Imagine the Durley Chine 100 years ago…

…with the elegance and etiquette of Edwardian bathing habits, wheeled canvas and wood bathing machines at the waters edge, the ladies in their hats and full length petticoated skirts, the gentlemen be suited and with cap and the children fully clothed playing in the sea, down through the steep sandy chine rich with autumnal colour.

Kings Rhodes Brasserie

Knowing that the old King's Arms Hotel had been closed for three years and that the site was being redeveloped a table was reserved at the newly reopened Kings Rhodes Restaurant in Castle Street, Christchurch, with just a little trepidation.
