The Perfect Lunch

Lunch at one of Bournemouth's finest and most well known hotels, The Norfolk Royale is a lovely treat for anyone.

The Norfolk Royale Hotel is one of the grandest buildings in Bournemouth's town centre. Its four-star rating makes it also one of Bournemouth's finest hotels.

As you walk in to the hotel you are welcomed by the grandeur of Edwardian times gone past. Relax in the lounge area with afternoon tea on the comfy sofas or venture into Echo's Restaurant to sample its fine and varied menu. The staff are welcoming and attentive to ensure that your visit is as relaxed and enjoyable as possible.

Here at Bournemouthtown.co.uk, we were invited down to review the 45-minute, 2-course business lunch which runs Monday to Friday from Noon until 2pm in Echo's Restaurant. Echo's is very light and airy. The decor has a sophisticated yet Edwardian twist to it and it is the perfect place for a business lunch or to relax with friends.

Echo's menu has something for everyone. Whether you are after a fine steak, seafood, a homemade burger, salad or omelette - you will be pleasantly surprised by the variety of choices available. Main dishes start from £8 upwards.

The 2-course business lunch is just £9.95 . The menu changes frequently and offers a varied choice of two starters, three mains and/or two desserts (3 courses are available for just an additional £3.00). The menu on the day that we sampled was a lovely mixture of classic bistro style dishes with an oriental twist of Salmon and Coley Thai Curry, a Mediterranean style dish of Char-grilled Turkey Escalope, Cous Cous and fresh vegetables or Potato Gnocchi in a Spinach Cream Sauce and a Pesto Tossed Salad. All dishes were delicious and cooked to perfection. Not only that the portions are a good size making the Business lunch excellent value.
