The Venus Awards launch in Southampton

Nominate your favourite business woman!

January 2012 sees the launch of the newly-titled Venus Awards. The awards (in their former guise) were already well-established as a permanent fixture on the Dorset and BH Postcode social calendar as they enter into their third year, and have caught the attention of well-respected business women all over the UK.

From Monday 9th January 2012 at 6:00pm, women from Southampton will finally be eligible to enter - you can nominate yourself, your female friends or business associates into a wide variety of award categories (see below). Nominations can be made at www.venusawards.co.uk.

Tara Howard (Managing Director of the Langtry Manor) and Jackie Phillipson (Managing Director of P-PR Media Solutions) launched the Langtry Manor Business Woman's Awards in 2010 to recognise the efforts of business women in Hampshire, Dorset and the New Forest. Tara is now aiming even higher by taking the awards to Manchester and London, with other regions planned in 2012 and 2013.

Awards founder Tara Howard said: "We are delighted to give Women in Business in Southampton and the SO postcode region the chance to be rewarded, as they certainly deserve it! With three of the categories aimed at women employed in businesses, the award will give ALL women in business a chance to be rewarded. When the quick and easy-to-use nomination form goes live on 9 January 2012 we are expecting a flurry of entries!"
