School Strike Action - Tops Day Nurseries

Tops Day Nurseries are filling up, already accommodating 33 children who are unable to go to school on Wednesday. Tops are offering emergency childcare for children up to the age of 11 in their nurseries and Mini Beasts Play Clubs. There are 7 Mini Beasts Play Clubs across Somerset, Dorset and Hampshire where some spaces are still available in the clubs at Taunton (Musgrove Park Hospital), Wimborne (Leigh Road), Poole (Denmark Lane), Boscombe (Wolverton Road), Bournemouth (Royal Bournemouth Hospital), Portsmouth (Queen Alexandra Hospital), Newport (Isle of Wight College).

Cheryl Hadland Managing Director for Tops says;

"We are preparing for an unusual influx of school children this week (during the term time) at our nursery sites. Our Mini Beasts Play Clubs normally only cater for school children before and after school or in the school holidays or on teacher training days. However, we have made sure we do have the qualified staff at hand in case more spaces are needed. We have already planned some learning activities for the children to participate in. The Play Club is designed by the children so we will be flexible catering for the children's interests and will make sure they are engaged and mentally stimulated in activities throughout the day."
