Exploring the Art of Dying with Valery from Inspiration Plus
This is a scary place to go for a lot of people. Given we seem to be living in very strange times now, when there are more and more natural disasters it seems, more people feeling life is not worth living any more and choosing to leave, I think our mortality is an even greater subject for exploration than ever before.
I was inspired to start this group after attending a ‘Festival of Death and Dying' put on by the Transitus group last summer. It was a day of complete revelation to me as I had no idea of just what was out there for us to know. Death is feared through mainly ignorance, mis-information or stories we have been bought up with.
Therefore why not bring it out in the open for surely death is so a part of life. It makes sense surely to be informed, after all we are all encouraged to make a will and younger and younger people are doing that now. Come on, none of us know when our time's up and I believe age has very little to do with it.
There has been much in media lately about debilitating illness and euthanasia a very controversial subject certainly. But lets get together and talk. Listen to those talk who work and have had amazingly beautiful experiences around death and dying processes. Listen to speakers who work for instance as soul midwives and stay with the person who is trying to leave the planet with dignity and in peace.
It really doesn't have to be a horror story, people willingly go to the cinema to watch those and yet pull away from putting their own house in order. Making preparation for something that is guaranteed for us all, as well as deciding who will have your valuable jewellery is a given for me.
After two months of this group beginning, it is fully subscribed with wonderful speakers, inspiring information that really is removing any sense of foreboding and fear. In fact each month we look forward to the next with yet more stories to tell and more experiences to share.
