Congratulations! You've found the region’s latest – and soon to be greatest nights out resource. Over the coming weeks we’ll be filling the following section with the best nights out in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. Simply scroll down the page and click on the event picture that takes your fancy. This will then open a full-size flier in a new window.

GAPEVINE:
Well it’s been a busy few months, what with clubs closing and new ones opening – shifty deals left, right and centre!

2020
Let’s start with 2020. Now then what’s going on here? Is it the financial climate or were we all duped by the club’s owners? Whatever the reason for closure it won’t be closed for long, as I already know there’s a couple of interested local businessmen snooping about. There’s a lot of controversy still surrounding that venue – I should know!

THE LANDMARC
Well, only weeks after the decline of his empire and Mr. Carr is involved, so we hear. Word on the grapevine is that it’s going to be called the VCLUB and going by the entertainment I hear they’re having it will probably take over where 2020 left off (yawn, yawn…)

THE SURFER
Well yes, this is that dilapidated old hotel on Curley Rd in West Cliff that was hand painted, but now look at it! The owners have spent many hours and money bringing it back into shape, and not only that  –the place is going to be turned into a surf academy and beach bar! More details to come on that soon.

THE SURF REEF
At last the workers are back from India and promise to have it finished. Let’s hope so; the URBAN REEF restaurant bar in front will be happy! Those nice people that brought you Urban Beach have come up with a beauty of a venue in the right place by the looks of things

THE IMAX
Well I’m always hearing stuff about this abomination: Will it be a water park? Will a big operator take it over? Nothing surprises me about this place – what next? A cinema?  Oh no, they tried that… Knock it down!

THE OPERA HOUSE
Carling Academy is what the area needs to get some life back. Should be massive if this goes through – come on, Boscombe!

STEAKOUT
Now what is going on here? Have the owners of Klute and Funki Sushi got it or is there some legal tangle somewhere? We shall see. Great idea though, would be brilliant though the building is jinxed…
