ART
EXHIBITION
Acrylics, Watercolours and Pencil Drawings
by Helen Rattue
Winton
based artist, Helen Rattue, brings her first art exhibition to the Regent in
Christchurch from Saturday 13 February to Friday 5 March.
Helen
will be displaying over 30 examples of her work, mainly in acrylics but with a
few watercolours and pencil drawings.
Helen
has specialised in faces, particularly film stars and rock and pop stars.
The bright, vibrant colours of the
acrylic paints are perfect for creating an impact that immediately draws the
viewer’s attention.
Amongst
the famous names to be the subject of Helen’s creative talents are:
Harry Potter, John Lennon, Bob Marley,
ABBA, Tom Cruise and James Dean.
Helen
began her career in art at Parkstone Grammar School before completing a
foundation course at Bournemouth Art College.
Marriage
and a career in fashion left little time for Helen’s art, but 7 years ago she
had the opportunity to attend a two year watercolour painting course, followed
by a course in acrylics four years later.
Helen has held numerous successful exhibitions
locally.
Now she will be at the
Regent Centre from 13 February – 5 March.

BomoCreatives at The Winchester – Creating
Bomo's Future
BomoCreatives will be meeting at The Winchester pub on Poole Hill (39 Poole Hill, West Cliff, Bournemouth, BH2 5PW, Tel. 01202 552 206) on Wednesday 18 February from 6.30pm.
Again this is a one-off meeting and quite a critical one.
We want you to come along and tell us what you think of Bomo and where you would like to see us go from here. Sadly Brian Jenner has decided not to front Bomo any more - and we owe him a great debt for getting Bomo going and bringing us all together. However, we now want to take Bomo forward and for that, we'd like your input.
So come along to The Winchester next Wednesday, have a pint and share your thoughts and ideas. The meeting is free this month as it's a bit different. There is no speaker, though we will go through some of the ideas on the night and answer any questions as best we can.
See you there,
Elanor and Sean
