Family Football Festival

AFC Bournemouth's inaugural Family Football Festival is now just days away, and the club has been busy working hard in preparation to welcome families to the Seward Stadium this Saturday.

In addition to the Cherries npower League 1 match at home to Bury, there will be lots of entertainment and activities from 12pm onwards for all ages.

The entertainment includes world street dance champion Darren Symes, balloonist Circo Ridicoloso, a magician and a surfing simulator.

Cherries Slash Family Prices Against Bury

AFC Bournemouth's Family Football Festival is just under a week away and tickets are selling fast.

A family of four can gain admission to the Seward Stadium for just £20 to witness the Cherries' crunch match with Bury on the 22nd October.

The Cherries have been playing some fantastic football recently, and with new signings and players returning from injury, they are looking to move up the table as they push for promotion.

Fans are invited to attend the event in fancy dress and there will be prizes awarded throughout the day for the best costumes. There are no restrictions on theme and adults are encouraged to dress up as well as children.

Family Football Festival Drawing Near

AFC Bournemouth's Family Football Festival is fast approaching and the line-up for the day is beginning to take shape.

Taking place on the 22nd October and incorporating the Cherries' League clash against Bury, the event sees the club slash its family ticket prices, as well as providing a host of family entertainment and activities.

The newest addition to the bill is James Brown, the self styled "professional opportunist" who was awarded the title of Best Close Up magician in the UK by the world famous Magic Circle. James will be performing outside the Seward Stadium before the game, so look out for his magical antics and talent for misdirection.

Bournemouth Ladies FC set to Grace Seward Stadium

Bournemouth Ladies FC is set to follow in the footsteps of their male counterparts when they play at the Seward Stadium.

The newly formed ladies side will take on Weymouth Ladies on 16th October (kick-off 2.15pm) at the home of the Cherries.

Chairman Eddie Mitchell said: "I think it's a great opportunity for the ladies team. We wanted to get the team up and running and now we want to keep up that support and see them grow.

AFC Bournemouth’s Family Football Festival

AFC Bournemouth is delighted to announce that a Family Football Festival will take place on Saturday 22nd October at the Seward Stadium, coinciding with the Cherries home npower League 1 match against Bury.

Kicking off at 12pm, visit the Seward Stadium to take part in all sorts of fun activities including a bouncy activity for young fans and a surfing simulator for all the family to try. Budding footballers can test their shooting skills on PowerStrike to see who has the hardest shot on the day. Entertainment will be provided by street dancing World Champion Darren Symes, singing by the Funky Little Choir, a roving magician and Circo Ridicoloso who does amazing things with balloons.

Cherries Secure South Stand Land

AFC Bournemouth has secured the assignment of the 999-year lease at the South End of their Seward Stadium.

Negotiations with the Council are already underway on heads of terms for a new 125-year lease to erect a fourth stand, which would incorporate a hotel, offices and spa facility.

After the club exited administration three years ago, the administrators retained the lease of the land at the south end of the Stadium which the Cherries had been granted in 2001 when the new Dean Court was built. Since then, club directors have worked tirelessly to re-secure the land and today succeeded in their goal and cleared potential charges of £300,000.

Kyle Taylor signs for AFC Bournemouth

Cherries Capture Tiny Talent

12-year-old Kyle Taylor is a boy with a very bright future and AFC Bournemouth has made sure that it will be with them.

The starlet put pen to paper on a six-year deal last week that will see him stay at the Seward Stadium until he's an adult, and spend two years in the club's renowned youth set-up when he hits 16.

Head of the Centre of Excellence, Shaun Brooks said, "Kyle has conducted himself in a very mature manner since he's been at AFC Bournemouth and it was a no brainer for us to tie him to the club for the foreseeable future.

AFC Bournemouth is delighted to announce that a 3-year agreement has been signed with south coast print and communication company The Cedar Group to continue their provision of matchday programmes until 2014.

The Cherries have worked hand in hand with Cedar for over 10 years, and in that time have picked up many plaudits and accolades for the programme's high-quality design and printing, including Cover of the Year Award last season.

The project, designed by the current conservative government to offer a non-military, voluntary form of national service, kicked off this summer at eight Football League clubs across the country.

Cherries Announce Open Day

AFC Bournemouth is excited to announce an open day at the Seward Stadium on Sunday 11th September. From 9.30am to midday, tours will be running throughout the morning and will culminate in the unveiling of the Cherries' new third kit.

The event will be completely FREE for all AFC Bournemouth fans and will allow them to see some of the developments that have taken place at the ground over the last year. The tour will include visits to the gym, youth team facilities, changing rooms and the club's new sports analysis room, plus a demonstration in an executive suite from performance analyser Rob Page, who will be dissecting the previous day's game against Chesterfield FC.

NEWSFLASH: Meet the Cherries Stars this Thursday

Cherries stars will be packing their flip-flops and wearing their sunnies next Thursday as they take a trip to Bournemouth's Thomas Cook store on Richmond Hill. Players will be arriving at 2.30pm and the doors are open to anyone who wants autographs or photographs with the players.

Thomas Cook is an official partner of the Football League, and has been working closely with every one of the 72 clubs, offering discounts to every fan who announces their allegiance. The initiative is something AFC Bournemouth want to publicise as widely as possible, so as to make sure every fan benefits from the offers.

Green Goals Relaunch

Green Goals Scores at Air Festival

Players from AFC Bournemouth will be urging Bournemouth Air Festival visitors to adopt the key aims of the Green Goals Project and dispose of their waste responsibly.

With over a million festival-goers expected over the four day weekend, the event generates massive amounts of extra waste. Therefore scores of extra litter and recycling bins will be installed alongside existing facilities along the cliff top, Pier Approach and promenade to help tackle the issue.

In addition Green Goals' recycling messages will be played out on the Big Screens and prominent flags will help direct visitors to their nearest waste facility.
