AFC Bournemouth has secured the assignment of the 999-year lease at the South End of their Seward Stadium.
Negotiations with the Council are already underway on heads of terms for a new 125-year lease to erect a fourth stand, which would incorporate a hotel, offices and spa facility.
After the club exited administration three years ago, the administrators retained the lease of the land at the south end of the Stadium which the Cherries had been granted in 2001 when the new Dean Court was built. Since then, club directors have worked tirelessly to re-secure the land and today succeeded in their goal and cleared potential charges of £300,000.
