- The Wanted, 6 March 2012.
No 1 boyband, The Wanted have announced their first ever UK Arena Tour for spring 2012. The five piece group that became one of the biggest breakthrough acts of 2010 will be playing 11 arenas across the country.
"After the success of our first tour (which we think the mums just may have enjoyed even more than their kids) we're planning our first arena tour for February and March of next year. We just want everyone to come along and enjoy themselves, so don your "The Wanted" t-shirts and why not purchase a ticket-for-entry? It'll be spiffing!"
The Wanted boys burst into our lives and the charts last summer, with their incredible 2011 BRIT nominated debut single, All Time Low, storming straight into the number one spot. Followed by number two hit Heart Vacancy, they have quickly built up a huge fan base. Their self-titled debut album raced into the top five, and they have had over an incredible 30 million plays of their videos on YouTube. In March the boys were given the honour of releasing the official Comic Relief single for Red Nose Day. The single 'Gold Forever' became their third top five single.
Their latest number 1 single 'Glad You Came' is the first from their hotly tipped second album. Written by Steve Mac, Wayne Hector and Ed Drewitt and produced by Steve Mac, this song brings a harder, club-influenced sound to the table for Jay, Max, Nathan, Siva and Tom. A dance floor filler, with a heavy bassline combined with the boy's rock vocals, this track will have you raving from London to Ibiza this summer.
Earlier this year the boys performed their first headline tour which had rave reviews from the press with The Times, Evening Standard and News Of The World giving the shows 4 stars. Proof, if ever it was needed, that The Wanted are definitely not taking any prisoners when it comes to being the hottest new pop group in the UK.
Don't miss the chance to see The Wanted Live next year!

- Hayley Westenra, 8 March 2012.
Hayley Westenra featuring The NSO Chamber Orchestra is coming to the Bournemouth Pavilion on 8 Mar. There's something about Hayley Westenra's voice. It's not just a beautiful voice. It's a voice that moves you, gets inside of you because you feel it's coming from a woman who has felt everything - love, joy, anger, despair - the whole range and then some. It soars and swoops as much as it ever did on her first international Number 1 album Pure, released in 2003 when she was just 15. Now, New Zealand born Hayley is 23 and the pureness of her tone is edged with experience, confidence and power.
The catalyst for her staggering development was working on her latest album in Rome with legendary film composer Ennio Morricone and his orchestra. Hayley left her native New Zealand aged 14 when she was signed internationally by Universal Records in the UK. Hayley says
After being signed to Universal Records when she was just 14 her album Pure became the fastest selling international debut album in the history of the UK classical charts. Proceeding albums (2005), (2007) and (2008) - all showcased her sensational voice and won her international acclaim, selling over four million copies worldwide to date.
