Cast Your Vote for Christchurch’s Best of the Best!
Local diners are being invited to give their views on Christchurch eateries by voting for their favourite restaurants, cafes, tearooms or pubs in the town in Christchurch Food & Wine Festival's Best of the Best awards.
The Coastline Best of the Best Awards 2012 aim to reward those establishments in Christchurch who provide their customers with the best food, the best service and the most enjoyable overall experience.
Getting involved is easy. People can vote either on a paper nomination form, which will be available from any establishment serving food and/or wine in the BH23 postcode area, or vote on the Food Festival website at www.christchurchfoodfest.co.uk.
There are nine categories in the Awards. Businesses can be nominated in any or all of the categories, as long as the business is relevant to that category. The categories are:
Best Weekday Lunch Best Café or Tearoom Best Public House Best Restaurant Best International Cuisine Restaurant/Takeaway (i.e. Italian, Chinese, Indian) Best Sunday Lunch Best Seafood Best Family Friendly Best Customer Service
People may only vote once and must give their name and address on the form or when they vote online, so they must vote at the same time for all the categories they want to be represented.
Everyone who votes will be put into a draw to win dinner for two with wine at the 2 AA rosette Tides Restaurant at The Captain's Club Hotel in Christchurch.
Voting will be open until 12 March 2012.
This year's awards are sponsored by Coastline Produce Ltd, suppliers of quality food to the catering industry. The awards will be presented by the Festival's patron, Lesley Waters, at a glittering Oscar-style ceremony to be held at The Regent Centre during the Festival on Monday 14 May to be compered by Wave 105's presenter, Steve Power.
